This reborn baby has been handcrafted with meticulous attention to detail. She also has a sweet vanilla scent that will make you never want to leave her side. Her limbs are made of vinyl, and her body is soft and cuddly. The arms, legs, and head are made of vinyl, a high-quality material that allows for realistic details of newborns, such as skin redness and folds, veins, and drool. How are Arias' Reborn babies made?

A process where the detail makes the difference

Arias' Reborns are very special dolls, created entirely by hand. They are made mostly of a material called vinyl, which is placed in a mold of the desired shape—in our case, the shape of a baby. Once removed from the mold, the doll is painted in layers, using a meticulous technique that gives it an incredibly realistic look.

Handcrafted reborn dolls that are hand-painted

Reborn dolls are hand-painted in several layers. A special paint is used as a base coat to determine the desired skin tone. Once painted, this same process is repeated successively for each element or layer of the doll: veins, redness, rosiness, texture, etc., always respecting the drying time between each color. This artisanal technique is what makes the results spectacular, creating dolls that look like real babies.

Final touches of realism to create a unique Reborn

After this unique process, the doll is reheated so the eyes can be attached. Once this is done and it has cooled, a special glue is applied, and the eyelashes are also carefully attached by hand, as they are very delicate. After this step, a final coat of paint is applied, giving the Reborn baby's lips, tear ducts, and nails a glossy finish. Finally, washers are attached to a frame made of organic and eco-friendly fabric, which will allow the limbs to be movable.

Weight also matters a lot

Not only is the finish of the Reborn baby important, but at Muñecas Arias we believe that weight is also crucial to giving the feeling of holding a real baby. For this reason, we add weight to our Reborn babies. How? We fill the doll with a small fabric bag containing silica sand. The weight is divided into two parts: 100 grams in the head and 500 grams in the body, depending on the size of the doll. Once this final step is completed, the head is attached to the body, and the baby is ready to be dressed in its diaper and outfit.
